The Great Race 2010 is July 4th
2009 marked the 30th year
of the Great Race
It was organized by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce (FCRCC) and members from SAAWA assisted on the big day.
It was one of the most successful events ever.
An enormous thank you goes to FCRCC who generously contributed $1,000 to our organization.
FCRCC is a valuable community partner and resource.

It was raining early morning, clouds were ominous, but the weather held out for the 5th Annual Fun Walk/Run. Participants raised over $1,900. Molly Smith won some great prizes for being the youngest to raise the most in pledges; Bennett Coseo also won a gift certificate for raising the most pledges in his age group. The biggest fun(d)raiser was Sarah Auer who raised $385! She won a gift card to Kevin Smith's Sports Connection. Hannaford cooked up some great hot dogs. Chris Demeritt assisted throughout the event, and scooped up lots of ice cream cones. Other great prizes were raffled off, including gift certificates to As the Crow Flies, Warner's Snack Bar, bowling passes & Mimmo's pizza's! THANK YOU to ALL who came and supported SAAWA in working to restore the bay!
